Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre OPC reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. In the event that any changes are made, the revised terms and conditions shall be posted on this website immediately. Please check the latest information posted herein to inform yourself of any changes.

1.  Terms of Payment

1.1. Upon registration, participants in our Group Language Courses must pay either the full course fee or the initial payment as indicated in the installment plan of their choice. Those who wish to join our Exam Preparation Courses and Private Tutorials are expected to pay the full course fee upon registration. 

1.2. Registration is on a first paid, first served basis. Students are only officially registered once the required payment has been made. Submission of the course booking form does not entitle a student to a slot in any of our courses. For Individual courses, a session of at least 1 hour must be booked and paid before starting the course.

1.3. Students who choose to avail of our installment plans must be informed of the amount and the payment deadlines for their plan of choice. In the event that a student fails to pay their balance within the deadline, Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre reserves the right to revoke their access to the online live sessions and to all other materials and resources that came with their course.

2.  Course Fees & Re-Booking

2.1. The contractually binding fee is the fee stated in the price list current at the time of application. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre will not be charging any hidden fees outside of those which have been published on their website and social media, and those which are stated in the Terms and Conditions agreed to by the student.

2.2. Should a participant wish to change his or her booking, the booking change must be done at least seven (7) working days before the start of the course. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre will not be charging the student any additional fees for a rebooking, unless the previous payment made does not correspond to the required payment. No more booking changes will be entertained six (6) working days from the course start date.

3.  Cancellation and Refunds

The following conditions apply if, for any reason, the course participant is unable to take part in the course:

3.1. In case of cancellation at least seven (7) working days before the start of the course, Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre will withhold 50% of the total course fee that will be refunded to the student if the student paid in full. No refunds will be made if the student opted for installment plans.

3.2. In case of late cancellation, non-appearance, or leaving the course once it is underway, the participants are not entitled to any refund. Participants who have opted for installment plans will likewise no longer be allowed to avail installment plans for any future enrollments and will be required to pay the full course fee upon registration to their next course. Furthermore, said participants will lose access to any and all materials related to the discontinued course.

3.3. Cancellation requests must be submitted thru e-mail to language.courses@traumdeutschph.com with reason and a copy of the issued receipt. The date of cancellation shall be the date of receipt of the cancellation request.

4.  Course Placement & Changes

4.1. Unless they have taken their previous course at Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre and received their instructor's approval to enroll to the next level, participants who wish to join language courses for levels A2 and above are required to present either a Goethe/TELC/ÖSD language certificate or a certificate of attendance/participation issued by their previous school for the level preceding their course of choice. These certificates must not be older than six (6) months from the start of the course. 

4.2. If a student is unable to present either of the above mentioned certificates, they will be required to undergo a Placement Test and pay the corresponding fees before they are allowed to enroll. If a student proceeds with enrollment after taking the placement test, the placement test fee will be deducted from the total course fee.

4.3. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre reserves the right to amend or postpone its courses and change course details such as times, materials, and instructors in the event such changes are deemed necessary.

4.4. The required minimum number of students per class is 8 persons for the group language courses and 4 persons for the exam preparation courses.  Students may move to another course schedule or receive a full refund should the course be cancelled. This term is not applicable for individual courses.

5.  Responsibilities of Participants

Course participants must be at least 16 years of age upon the start of the class. When joining Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre's group courses, participants must be willing to take part in interactive activities that would require them to speak, interact, and cooperate with their instructors and fellow learners. 

5.1. Participants are obliged to comply with the course rules and regulations applicable to Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre. This means that they are on time when classes start, concentrate on classes, contribute actively to the learning process, and refrain from disturbing the learning process by diverting the attention of other students. Participants are likewise expected to keep their video cameras on all throughout the class. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre reserves the right to mark participants absent, in case of non-compliance to this rule.

5.2. The above implies that participants dress in an appropriate way during live classes according to the norms which apply to public spaces. This covers both profile pictures and live-pictures of participants.

5.3. Students should attend classes in a private setting where they can focus without distractions. This practice helps maintain the integrity of our online learning environment and ensures that all enrolled students receive the intended educational experience. Additionally, students are not allowed to share lessons or class access with individuals who are not officially enrolled in the course. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre reserves the right to disallow students from attending classes in circumstances where their attendance causes disruption in class. These circumstances include, but are not limited to, having someone unenrolled attending/listening in/commenting during class; having rowdy or noisy backgrounds; and being in a setting where the student is unable to focus in class. No refunds will be issued if a student is disallowed to attend due to the mentioned reasons.

5.4. Students must be able to abide by the technical requirements asked of them. We do not allow the use of mobile phones and no adjustments in the handling of the class will be made for the student if they choose to use their mobile phones or if they do not abide by the technical requirements stated in the Terms and Conditions. See below the technical requirements for our language courses:

• Working Microphone

• Working Video Camera

• Reliable Internet Connection

5.5. Participants who wish to receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the course must attend at least 70% of the total class hours set for the course. Attendance requires that a student actively participate throughout the duration of the class. Participants who are logged in yet inactive will be considered and likewise marked as absent. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre does not issue Certificates of Participation for Exam Preparation Courses and Private Tutorials.

5.6. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre prides itself as a school that offers high quality education at affordable prices. However, the students must also be aware that learning is a two-way path. Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre is committed in providing quality language instruction. Likewise, participants are expected to do their best by actively participating in class, doing the tasks given by their instructors both in session and as homework, and communicating with their instructors in case of confusion and questions. For individual courses, it is the student´s responsibility to outline learning goals to establish a tailor-made schedule by the teacher.

6. Liability of Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre

The liability of Traum Deutsch PH Language Learning Centre and its staff is limited to intent and gross negligence. The school accepts no liability for the cancellation of its services due to force majeure, e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the contracting parties.
